VoltIA
VoltIA, an advanced monitoring system designed for oil-immersed high-voltage transformers, was developed to optimize hardware enclosure mechanics, sensor housing integration, and intellectual property documentation. Developed for SYP Electronic while working at Deepia, the system enables real-time monitoring of critical parameters—such as oil temperature, gas accumulation, corrosion, and operational faults—to prevent power outages and streamline predictive maintenance.
Due to non-disclosure agreements and the sensitive nature of this high-voltage infrastructure project, only high-level conceptual design and non-proprietary documentation are showcased.

OVERVIEW
Problem
Oil-immersed high-voltage transformers are critical power grid assets where dielectric fluid degradation, gas accumulation, or unexpected structural leaks can lead to catastrophic failure. Standard sensor setups lack dedicated, protective hardware enclosures capable of withstanding the harsh internal oil environments and external atmospheric conditions.
Product & Deliverable Goals:
To design the exterior housing for the central Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) monitoring unit.
DEVELOPMENT
Design and prototype
Exterior & Internal Enclosures:
Modeled the main PLC protective casing and oil-resistant sensor housings in Fusion 360, ensuring spatial efficiency, seal integrity, and component protection.
Prototyping & Validation:
Produced high-precision resin 3D prints (SLA) to validate physical form, mechanical fit, and visual appeal for stakeholder presentations.
IP & Documentation:
Drafted formal technical diagrams and structural descriptions required for the patent application process, securing the client’s proprietary hardware design.
